Welcome to EC-6!

Dear Students and Parents:

Welcome back to school! My name is Miss Brander and I will be your teacher this year. I am so excited about all of the things we will learn and the wonderful experiences that we are going to have together!

You may be wondering what school will be like this year. Our class is filled with many different kinds of learning manipulatives, books, and various other things that will help us to learn in our own way. I'm sure that you are going to find lots of things that you are going to enjoy and learn with.

We'll be following a schedule everyday that will expand our learning process. We will be reading stories together everyday and working in our reading program. We will discuss, sing, play games, and have fun together. We will learn about letters, numbers, shapes, colors, and partake in other educational activities. We will explore nature and play outside. All of these activities and more will help us to learn new things and be successful in daily life. 

I know that the first two weeks of school can be very overwhelming for all so I will close for now. Please look for more information in the weeks to come.

The only homework that I am requiring at this time is filling out the school packet. The White packet needs to be filled out and returned to school. Please keep the White packet stapled together. The Parent/Student handbook can be found in electronic format on our district website. Please take the time to read through it with your student. Please return this packet in the homework folder no later than August 17, 2018. Please feel free to turn it in earlier if you finish filling it out.
