Lucerne Valley Elementary School promoted 69 6th-graders during the 2018 promotional ceremony on Tuesday evening in Lucerne Valley High School’s Sgt. Brian L. Walker Memorial Gymnasium.
The 6th-graders were welcomed by Principal Mr. Burt Umstead to the music, “Pomp and Circumstance.” Serenity Petroff and Emilia Daniels led the Pledge of Allegiance followed by a student speech by Madison Miller and a slide show presentation. Student achievement, special recognitions and attendance certificates were presented by Ms. Lane, Mrs. Miller, Ms. Hendrix and Mrs. Paddack. Kylee Lambert, who has served as the LVES student representative to the school board this year, gave the final student speech. Mr. Umstead gave brief closing remarks as the promoted students celebrated to “Celebrate.”
