Elementary school substitute teacher — and future physical education instructor — Jamie P. Farrell was named the May Employee of the Month during the Thursday, May 12th meeting of the Lucerne Valley USD’s Board of Trustees. (May 13, 2022)

Lucerne Valley Roadrunner fundraiser raises money for Christmas gifts to local youth and high school senior scholarships.

The musical “Moana Jr.,” based on the 2016 Disney film “Moana,” completed a successful three-night run with color and flair.

The California Pivotal Practice Award Program was designed in partnership with our education associations to celebrate districts and schools that have completed an online application highlighting an innovative practice that was implemented during the 2020–21 school year, when California required schools to offer distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Students also learn about the importance of bees from local expert Sue Nolan of the Desert Crossroads Garden Club.

There will be some newer faces around the elementary site starting the 2022-2023 school year. One new addition will be Candice Carter, the elementary school counselor.

On Friday, March 4th, the students who made their Accelerated Reader goal in Kinder-6th grade got to experience a mobile petting zoo as their incentive. AR committee members Krystal Nelson, and Amanda Mayner, came up with the idea to bring the “mini zoo” to the school site.

Lucerne Valley Elementary School celebrates Dr. Seuss' birthday with "Cat in the Hat" theme; Eagle Leadership, High School students, Cadet Corps members read to students.

The red, white and blue flag features students’ hand prints for the stripes and thumb prints for the stars.
